This past Thursday (December 2nd) The QLUTCH Project Shot their music video for their single

"MASQUERADE"

It was a long (tiring) day but the job got done, and well done at that.

To end the night they had a live performance at Trisko Talent's Masquerade Party.

Hello Blog, My long lost friend ...

SO recently the Qlutch Project has been busy little bees, with Dj Lexy

touring around Asia, Bethany booking TV series, after TV series, Miy busy with design, and the like...

Excuses, excuses..right?

Its quite obvious that this blog has taken the back burner (ooops, might be a little bit charred left cooking for to long with no attention)

But I'm back...and i am black. (is what B would say about right now)

Bsquared has been busy being a reoccurring musician on CW's hit TV series HELLCATS.

HALLOWEEN has also come and gone, B and I had a super fun time getting our costumes ready for the occasion.

What are we ?

Well we are twins. Right?

Our costumes are apparent "naughty Antoinette" but, yah i dunno how i feel about that whole naughty word. I didn't feel very naughty....

more like pretty, super pretty. Don't wanna move to much pretty.

So we dressed up as pretty people for halloween.. somethin' wrong with that?

100 Days Opus Vancouver

So this passed weekend yet another restaurant opened in Yaletown.

I have to say when i first heard of 100 days i was shocked at how brilliant the concept was.

Each day i checked the progress of the restaurant which was completely transformed in under a week.

I decided to make reservations for us for Sunday Brunch. We LOVE brunch.

Upon entering the restaurant i was delighted with all of the many things to look at. With all the walls painted white and grafitti'd to the max it made the space so much more open and brighter. Being an artist i appreciated all the little things, I'd have to say that the wall sconces with splattered paint on them were my FAVE!

Our waiter greeted us (very awkwardly) and we ordered 2 skim milk cappuccinos to start off our meal, and they were fantastic, we decided to take another.

We then ordered the Fruit, granola, and greek yogurt with lavender honey. WOW - was it every fantastic. it was so delicious that just after leaving the restaurant i was already craving it AGAIN.

For the main we decided to get the Truffle and Shitake Benny. I was expecting it to be phenomenal, however i was very unimpressed with it. Cutting into the egg water drowned my plate, and there really was no flavor to it at all. I had to ask the waiter if the same chef was still there, as i was stunned by the quality. And found out that there is a new chef in the kitchen.

Although i was not pleased with the benny, i have to say that i would still return back. I have not yet tried other things on their menu and being a regular customer at SEBS and partaking in his delicious benny's often i have to say that my palate is quite mature and critical when it comes to eggs benedict.

I am hopeful that after people have settled into their job and become more comfortable with the new environment that the service will be at a better level.

Rockstars - a dying breed

So, i sit at the computer tonight, after just arriving home from watching none other then Joan Jett and the Blackhearts.

Today was a long day of working hard, and forgetting to eat, then getting cranky, then my hair not ending up right, and something weird appearing on face, i couldn't find parking closer then 20 blocks away, i wore ankle socks in my boots that ending up forming a ball in the arch of my foot, and there were drunken men falling all over the place as we arrive at the PNE. We finally found a spot where we could see center stage and of course some drunk to tall for his own good doofus stands right in-front of us.

"I may as well stayed home" b says as i kindly point out that there are 2 screens to each side of the stage that we can still kind of see.

Joan Jett's band walks out, and then her. WOW she is small. they are always smaller then i think they are. the guitarist strikes the first chord, Joan Jett takes a breath in about to sing the first word of "Reputation" and the crowds part. Much like the red sea. ( for moses? )

Somehow miraculously we saw the whole concert. clear of obstruction (i may or may not have had to tell some people to shove it that thought it was a good idea to push in-front of us)

Despite losing her mum just yesterday morning, Joan Jett had the capability of rocking out so hard she even had a vancouver audience singing along to all of her songs.

Front row was everyone from ages 4-90. When "I love rock and roll" everyone was singing along.

She didn't have to have a dance routine, she didn't have to wear skanky clothes to impress people.

She is who she is.

She "knows who (she is)" and that is a true, to the bone, Rockstar.

One of Vancouver’s largest private outdoor parties, the 8th annual summer street party at OPUS Hotel Vancouver drew over 450 invite-only VIPs to the streets of Yaletown.

Hosted by Breakfast Television’s Riaz Meghji, this year’s Arabian Nights theme featured beautiful Moroccan inspired sights, sounds, cocktails and canapés.

As part of our ongoing support of UNICEF’s Unite for Children, Unite against AIDS campaign, the OPUS Foundation presented UNICEF Canada with a $10,000 donation as part of a commitment of $50,000 over 5 years.

Following the outdoor celebration, Elixir Bistro offered a special Moroccan inspired dinner menu and renowned DJs spun through the night in OPUS Bar.

one Shoulder Knee Pad, Can i get a one Shoulder Knee pad

The QLUTCH Project is performing @ CAPRICE on Thursday July 29th.

We were debating on who we wanted to dress us, and decided that it
would be totally hot to rock some studded shoulder/knee pads.
And we were just informed that we can only get ONE of them

One pair? OR One single? We do not know.



So today in our blog we will be exploring the different ways we could wear a single knee pad.

PLEASE let us know how you feel about our ideas.




OPTION 1: The face mask because nothing says sexy like a leather face.







But then when we found out we would be competing for best dressed for the event with HIM. We pretty much quivered in our pants, and not so much in a good way.
Lets leave the spikey knee pad face guards to Nosferatu.








Option 2: Rock the single knee pad - on the knee. ASYMMETRICAL is sooo hot right now.

Option 3: Head Gear. In support of all those who have had to wear one in their life.

No phone zone - day ???

The no phone zone posts have been neglected. 

Most likely because i hate admitting failure.

I first have to say that Bethany would be the No Phone Zone Champion if I (Miy) were not on the other end of BBM typing my little heart away when i know full well she is driving.
(i take full responsibility for this epic failure)

There's something about someone stuck in a car all by themselves that makes me want to write ALOT. Maybe even ping them a couple times just to be that much more distracting. 

Kinda like when B is on set and i like to write her everything that happens to me throughout the day - including when i opened and closed the door to take out recycling, or even about the random person that
is playing the tambourine outside of our house, or the fact that maybe I'm a bit peckish and need something to eat, or maybe even thirsty, or maybe i want to sit down on a chair and drink a coffee. 

I love BBM, but it has destroyed my chance to win this no phone zone challenge.

YES - i understand it shouldn't be a competition. 

But to me its always about winning or losing. 

I'll try harder to do the right thing, and to side with the HARPO lovers, and to be a

WINNER.

Until, then - i will be a sore loser. And will pick up my blackberry and message Bethany as she is currently driving home from set.
